Lesson 4: Logic Gates




Unplugged Activities

  1. Logic Gates: Once students understand the logical statements, have them glue down different types of gates (AND, OR, NOT) on a poster board and connect the gates. Make sure that each gate has the appropriate number of inputs (two for AND and OR; one for NOT). Then, the students can begin assigning values (happy & unhappy stickers) according to the truth table.

  2. Logic Gates Part 2: Create a logic map where students begin with the final output, and trace backwards applying values that correspond to the final output.
